Winter in the Pitztal

The ideal starting point for snow lovers

The Pitztal, the roof of Tyrol, is due to its altitude one of the few really snow-sure holiday destinations in the entire Alpine region. It is located between the Ötztal and the Kaunertal and offers winter sports enthusiasts high alpine challenges and connoisseurs pure romance.

The Pitztal Glacier, the highest ski area in Austria, reaches up to 3440 metres and is open from September to May. Connected to the glacier is the Riffelsee ski area, which attracts advanced skiers with its steep descents.

The Hochzeiger is located a few kilometres further down the valley and scores above all as a family ski area. If you are on the Pitztal Glacier, the highest ski area in Austria, you will enjoy the best panorama in the trendy Café 3440 and on the observation deck behind the café.

The Pitztal offers the ideal starting point for snow lovers or anyone who still wants to become one.
